This is a common problem that we come across at Sprinkler Fixers.
The most likely reasons that a bore pump is not turning on or pumping water are.
- Insulation breakdown of the pump, meaning the pump will trip the circuit breaker/fuses. It may even run for a little while before tripping the pump, however, this problem will progressively get worse.
- The pump has lost its prime and needs priming
- Faulty controller or control box
- Faulty relay/contactor
- Pump or wiring has shorted out.
A licensed electrcian is required to fault diagnose a bore pump.
We have that covered here at Sprinkler Fixers!
